Just after being unwound from "miles" of umbilical cord, and rubbed and checked to make sure her heart was still beating--she came out very purple and floppy!
Checking that heart again...
9 whole pounds! Big little girl. She is so much fun to cuddle.
So red!
Born at 11:28 am after a tough labor. I cried a lot and felt I couldn't finish, but with Erich's help and The Lord with me we survived. Erich had to rub my back during all the earlier contractions, and when that ceased soothing I would squeeze his hands and pull on him--he got a big workout as far as that went--I was hanging on with all my might.

Crazy how warm the water was--like unpleasantly warm when you first got in, but as evaporation kicked in, it became just right ( as long as you aren't stickler for cold swimming water : ) Redistributing rocks Shlobbing up Zevia Underwater bench perfect for eating purposes.
