Peekaboo!

On the way to shopping...

A little cactus

Image
The first "leaf" of this little cactus was so spiny it seemed to be shouting "I'm dangerous! Don't get close!" And then it grew the second one and looks much tamer...

Business Charlotte

How Charlotte occupied herself during the business meeting...

Mower and oven

Image
Revived interest in the mower--fun to see how busy she is! And here Erich is completely renovating our oven! We bought a used gas stove and he ( and Daniel) installed all the parts in our antique Chambers! The new controls!

Work with Papa

Charlotte loves to be in the middle of work being done!

Thanksgiving is coming...

My present pitiful Thanksgiving decorations...

Recent things...

I cut these in the dark the evening before it was supposed to freeze, and have enjoyed the luscious color and perfectness of the blooms! It didn't freeze then, but I was glad of the impetus to get out there and bring some flowers in! Only .78 a pound--should I have bought one? It reminded me of the medeival carol-  "The boar's head in hand bear I, Bedecked with sage and rosemary. And I pray you my masters be merry, 'Quoth Estes in convivio.'" We brought lunch to the guys in Pleasanton Saturday, and I saw the "boars head" in Walmart shopping afterwards. The expert mess maker finds a niche for herself! Enjoying her new bed hangings! Up, up, up! And lastly, a bump photo... It has been so nice to feel content with my body--Erich is so good at encouraging me and has been a great help to me in accepting the way God made me! I realize that there are so many things that before Erich I complained to myself about, that I don't give a second thought to now!...

Waking up

Image
Just woke up from a nap! Hello!

Tuesday--out all day!

Image
A chilly day in San Marcos! Erich and I didn't bring anything warm not expecting it to be cold up there, but I was sure grateful to have brought warm things for Charlotte! After our midwife appointment, we dropped by Aspen and started the chiller for the first time! I thought Mr. Ehlinger was a black lady when he came out of the building with that shirt on! : ) One more of Charlotte the trooper!

Trying to help Papa work in the office... Look! I'm working!

Week 33 Bump Photo

Image
And munchkin trying to eat her own banana during bible time...
Image
My latest two quilt squares--the Wahlquist's house is the one I did first, and then used the extra block set Mrs. Ehlinger picked up for Kandace, to make the Ehlinger's house. Quite a fun little project.

We went to the Hyslop's after church--it was neat to see all the work they are doing--the place is very much in progress, but what is finished is done very well! I loved the patio. Peeking at us through the window! She didn't want to touch it at first... Oh and when she did the slide at church today for the first time, she was fine twice, and then after that she was too scared and didn't like it! And I was holding onto her the whole time too! Part view of the patio Swamped with dolls--a nice experience! Mystified by the doll that cried... Had a bit of a tough evening--too many raisins during church caused a red bottom and fussyness.  Such fun to have lights on the trees! I got pretty tired--before Erich did, and he took me home at 8:00--getting there at 10:00--it is a long way on 173!

Finally...

Image
...I have put the fancy crib curtain up! Here it is now--not sure if I will leave the crib there or not, but at least it is up at last!

Voting day...

Image
My only picture from today is of the Medina County Elections office--dropping off the ballots. Charlotte did super well--only had to take off about an hour and a half when she was too fussy and not ready for a nap! It was fun to help out and the two democrat ladies were actually nicer than our republican compatriot! (I guess it's hard to be wierder than her) The rain was such a joy to have! Thank God for sending it! It has been such a long time. And the temperature is perfect. When we arrived home I stepped in a puddle almost as deep as Dr. Foster's--at least it seemed so to me--and list my shoe at the same time--which probably made it seem deeper! "Docter Foster  Went to Gloucester  In a shower of rain. He stepped in a puddle Right up to his middle And never went there again."
